Western Motorsports: India’s Premiere Rally Organizers
Anukraman Singh is Founder and President of Western Motorsports, which organizes one of the premiere TSD rallies in all of India, the JK Tyre Monsoon Ride. This isn’t your typical, gimmick rally, either. This is a story of passion, teamwork, and adventure. Read on!
The Spark: Part 2 (Gearheads Without Borders?)
Last week, we introduced our latest really big idea. “You know how some doctors go all over the world to help sick people? What if gearheads did that to help people with transportation?” This week, we’re looking atsome established organizations already putting horsepower to the ground.
TUFSIG: LSX-powered Mitsubishi?
It’s been far too long since we’ve had some vintage Mitsubishi steel on the site. (Remember Bodo Engemann?) That all changes today, as we introduce you to a brother from Down Under who’s been thinking about V8-power in an old Sigma. Check it out.
Emme Hall on Haulin’ Ass
Emme Hall has been “doinking around in the desert” since she was 8 or 9 years old. Today, she reviews new cars for Roadfly and races class 5 out in the desert. Are you living your dream?
The Spark
One evening back in 2009, I had a conversation with my wife about possible names for an online magazine I wanted to start for Mitsubishi/DSM owners. The result of that conversation is this website – an online magazine dedicated to helping gearheads build high performance machines & lives – regardless of platform, pursuit or place. One evening in 2011, I watched a movie with my wife and a new idea has been set in motion.
Compound Turbo DSM: Paul Volk Made it Happen
Remember the last conversation you had about twin turbocharging? What about body kits? Odds are, there were plenty of people against both ideas. But while some of those people went on to do exactly what everyone else did, and some went on to do absolutely nothing, at least one person decided to do something different, and do it exceptionally.
Desert Dingo: A True Story of “Dust to Glory”
For those who haven’t seen it yet, “Dust to Glory” is an epic movie about what it takes to run the Baja 1000 in Mexico. There probably isn’t a gearhead on the planet who hasn’t watched that flick and thought, “OMG. I wanna do that.” Jim Graham is one such gearhead, and OMG. He actually went out and did that.
Jason Tanin’s AWD, 4G63 powered 1990 Mirage SE "LILEVO"
Meet Jason Tanin. He’s attempted the classic gearhead project of small car + big horsepower = shenanigans, and he’s done a damn fine job of it. Maybe that’s because he’s had a little practice? If you’ve ever wanted to do something unconventional, you’ll want to check this one out.
