We are always looking to bring you stories you won’t find anywhere else. We like to interview you (gearheads make the world go ’round), but we got to thinking maybe you’d like to see some of the things we’ve seen over the years. We’re going to start going back in time to report on past automotive events, starting today, with these pictures from when I attended the 2008 Spa Retromobile Meeting in Belgium.
Domino: Serious Toys
This story has been a long time coming. Many of us, growing up, tried our hands at building models. Airplanes, tanks, cars - we tried. Some of us were good at it, others… not so much. But we got in touch with Nicolas in Belgium, who told us the story of how a WWII (that’s right, World War II) drugstore became a so much more.
Timo’s Nissan 300ZX
On paper, every car can look good. There’s not one manufacturer that says something bad of their model in a brochure. Every brochure mentions that it took a lot of testing to develop a car like the one mentioned. But those tests are nothing, compared to the ONE real (sometimes) long test the car will have to withstand once it’s sold new in the showroom. This time we’ve got a Nissan 300ZX. More than 20 years old, and more than 200,000 km on the odo. How does this car hold up? Japanese craftsmanship or plain old crap? Let’s find out.
